Obituary for Donald J. Mellor

Donald J. Mellor
DRACUT, MA-- Donald J. Mellor, 60 years old, died unexpectedly, Monday morning, October 2, 2017 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Kim (Hayes) Mellor with whom he shared 26 years of marriage.

He was born in Lowell, a son of Donald T. Mellor, of Lowell, and the late Elvira D. (Vallente) Mellor. He was a graduate of Dracut High School, Class of 1975, and received his Associates Degree from Middlesex Community College.

For the past 12 years, he had been employed as the Manager of Production and Logistics for People Strategy, of Methuen.

He was an avid gardener. He loved to build flower beds and fill them with brightly colored flowers. Don was a great cook. Everyone knew of his famous meatballs which he learned how to make from his mother. He loved music and playing piano.

Surviving him are his wife: Kim; son: Donald J. Mellor, Jr., and his fiancé Tara M. Lamirande, of Dracut; daughter: Kaile Mellor, of Dracut; his granddaughter: Olivia Rae Mellor; siblings: Ron Mellor, of Seattle, WA; and Colleen Mireault, of Bartlett, NH; and all of his nieces, nephews and friends. He was prededceased by his brother Daniel Mellor.
