LOWELL, MA - Elaine M. (Bourassa) Jacques, 79, died peacefully, Thursday, November 23rd, at D'Youville Center for Advanced Therapy in Lowell, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Andre Jacques with whom she celebrated 51 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2010.

Elaine was born in Nashua, NH, on June 19, 1938, a daughter of the late Irene (Murtagh) and Omar Bourassa. She was a graduate of Dracut High School Class of 1955.

Mrs. Jacques had worked as a book keeper for Willow Manor Nursing Home.

In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, sewing, shopping, and playing keno. However, Elaine enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by her family. 

Elaine is survived and will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Susan LeLacheur and her husband Paul of Lowell and Leanne M. Jacques and her partner Barbara Chester of Hyannis; brothers, Joseph Bourassa and Donald and his wife Evelyn Bourassa all of Florida; sister, Carol Scott and her husband Buddy of Chelmsford; grandchildren Nicole and Steven LeLacheur.

She was predeceased by her son, Michael and brother, Norman Bourassa. 

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on WEDNESDAY, November 29th, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut, MA. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m., THURSDAY. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chelmsford.
