DRACUT, MA--It is with great sadness that the family of Robert L. Lucas announces his passing. Robert, age 82 of Dracut, Massachusetts passed away in his home on Tuesday, December 12th surrounded by his family and friends.

Robert was born on January 3rd, 1935 to Robert L. Zachary and Rose Mae Lucas in North Carolina.

Robert will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend of 47 years Edith, their loving children Diane Lucas, Robert Lucas JR., Charmane Lucas, Sonya Lucas Westfield and Daniel Lucas, as well as his brothers and sisters: Tommy Lee Doby, Elijah Doby, Willie Doby, Catherine Bailey, and her husband Admire Bailey.

Robert will also be fondly remembered by his 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his daughter Sharon Lucas, brother Lawson Lucas, and brother LC Lucas.

Robert spent most of his career as a supervisor at the Anheuser Busch company in Merrimack, NH until his retirement in 1990. He was also a member of the local Teamsters union of Burlington, MA.

ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be Thursday, December 14th from 3-7pm at Dracut Family Home. His Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, December 15th at 10 a.m. at St. Rita’s Church, Mammoth Road, Lowell. Burial to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetary In Lowell, MA.
