DRACUT, MA - Therese M. (Guilmette) Cantin, 88, died peacefully, Tuesday, May 29th, at D'Youville Life & Wellness Community in Lowell, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late retired Dracut firefighter Aldege W. "Lou" Cantin.

Therese was born in Dracut, on July 19, 1929, a daughter of the late Evelina (Ouellette) and Joseph Guilmette. She was a graduate of Dracut High School, Class of 1947.

Therese worked for the Campbell School in the cafeteria for several years. Prior to, she also worked for the Lowell Dress Co.

In her free time she enjoyed going to the movies and out to eat. She also liked to crochet, read, and be in the company of others. Therese was mostly known for being particular about her hair, which she got done once a week.

Therese is survived and will be deeply missed by her daughters, Linda Bedard and her husband Gerard of Tyngsboro, MA and Gail Polex and her husband Jan of Dracut, MA; grandchildren, Julie Chapman and her husband Paul, Mark Bedard and his wife Lisa, Nicole Bedard and her husband Greg, and Tia O'Neill and her husband Dan; great-grandchildren, Keith, Tristin, and Alyson Bedard, Hannah and Christopher Chapman, Finley O'Neill, and Alysa Day.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Romeo and Roger Guilmette.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects on FRIDAY, June 1st, from 9 - 10 a.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut, MA. Her Funeral Mass will follow at St. Francis Church in Dracut at 11 a.m. and burial in Richardson Cemetery, Dracut.
