NEW IPSWICH, NH - Alice A. (Fleming) Lessard, 96, died on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Monadnock Community Hospital, Peterborough, NH. She was the beloved wife of the late Norman Lessard, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage until his passing in 2001.

Alice was born in Lowell, MA on May 6, 1922, a daughter of the late Mary (McQuarrie) and James Fleming. She was raised and educated in Lowell and later moved to Dracut with her husband, where they raised their family of eight children.

She loved reading, gardening, and more importantly, spending time with her family.

Alice is survived and will be deeply missed by her seven children, Brian Lessard and his wife Marie of Kingston, NH, Norma Morrow of New Ipswich, NH, Anthony Lessard of Hudson, NH, Edward Lessard of Hudson, NH, Alyson Walsh and her husband Jerry of Palm Bay, FL, William Lessard of FL and Meredith DeSousa and her husband Al of Hudson, NH; her 19 grandchildren; her 31 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Norman, she is predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia Delong, her granddaughter, Nichole James and her two sisters, Catherine Talty and Rita Bowen.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on THURSDAY, June 21st from 10-11a.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, MA. Her Funeral Mass will follow at St. Marguerite D’Youville Church at 11:30a.m. Burial to take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alice’s name to Catholic Charities USA, 2050 Ballenger Ave, Suite 400, Alexandria, VA 22314.
