DRACUT- Annette M. (Briere) Monty, 88, passed away, Saturday, September 22, at her home, with her daughter at her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Roland F. Monty, who passed away on December 24, 2013.
Annette was born in Lowell, on July 26, 1930, a daughter of the late Alma (Chartier) and William J. Briere. She was employed as an Assembler for Raytheon in Andover for many years prior to her retirement.
As a young woman, when chosen to hold the title of Miss Lowell, Annette declined. She enjoyed ballroom dancing and won several medals for her ability on the dance floor. Annette was also an award winning knitter and anyone who received one of her custom designed sweaters would be sure to treasure it. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Annette took great pride in her children and grandchildren and nothing made her happier than to be a part of their lives.
Annette is survived and will be deeply missed by her four children: David Monty of Windham, NH, Noreen Judd of Laconia, NH, Karen Clougher and her husband Tom of Tyngsboro, MA and Nancy Montgomery-Wilson and her husband Gary of New Ipswich, NH. She also leaves her nine Grandchildren: Stacey Monty and her husband Douglas Jonart and Justin and his wife Stefanie Monty, Kimberly and Christopher McManus, Douglas, Kenneth, Zachary and Victoria Clougher and Evan Boucher, her two Great Grandchildren Kyle and Evan, her Sister Rita Albert and her husband Leo, and Lorraine Marchand and her husband Leon.
Annette was pre-deceased by her siblings Dorothy Gentile, Richard Briere, Robert Briere, Pauline Briere and Doris Dumas.
