Obituary for Robert J. Ziemba

DRACUT- Robert J. Ziemba, 82, a life long resident of Dracut, passed away on October 24th. Robert was the beloved husband of Catherine "Kay" (Abernethy) Ziemba, to whom he was married for 57 years.

He was born on June 30, 1936, a son of the late Adam and Mary (Scanlon) Ziemba.

Bob graduated from Lowell Trade School. He was a licensed electrician and worked at Norman Day Electric and retired from Charles River Labs. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Bob was an avid fisherman, who enjoyed many years at his summer cabin in Pittsburg, NH.

He was the devoted father to Lori Bissonnette and her husband Paul of Dracut. The beloved grandfather to Logan, Jordyn and Paul Bissonnette and his wife Jessica, all of Dracut. He is survived by his sister, Marge Surprenant and her husband Ray of Fort Pierce, Fl. and his nieces Kinberlee Menchel of Vero Beach, FL and the late Darlene Roberts of Newburyport. He also leaves his life long friends, Wayne Lambert of Westford, John Whitney of Waterville, Maine and Joe Wojich of Dunstable.`

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Tuesday, October 30th from 3-7PM in DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT, MA. His graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 31st, at NOON, in Westlawn Cemetery, Boston Road, Lowell. Please meet at the cemetery.
