Obituary for Avelino A. Silva

DRACUT-Avelino A. Silva, 81, passed away, Monday, October 22nd, at the Palm Center of Chelmsford. He was the beloved husband of Maria L. (Picanco) Silva.

Avelino was born in Azores, Graciosa Island, Portugal, on December 18, 1936. He was a son of the late Jacinto Silva and Maria A. (Da Conceicao) Silva.

He was employed as an auto reconditioner with Colonial Chevrolet until they closed. He then was employed by Lannan Chevrolet, until his retirement. Avelino was a member of the Holy Ghost Society. Most of his free time was spent with his family, gardening, and walks around the neighborhood. Loved chatting with the neighbors. His wife, children, grandchildren and his great-granddaughter, as well as Max and Haley, were all his most valued treasures.

Besides his wife, Maria L, Avelino is survived and will be deeply missed by his Son, Olinto M. Silva and his wife Anabella of Dracut, his two grandchildren: Derek Silva of Dracut and Caitlin Walker of Hollis, NH., and his great granddaughter, Alexis Silva of Lowell, as well as many nieces and nephews in the US and Ontario Canada.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, October 25th, at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT, MA. from 9-11AM. His Funeral Mass will follow at NOON in St. Anthony's Church, 893 Central St., Lowell.
