Abbie Ruckle

Abbie (Lapham) Ruckle, age 83, a resident of Dracut passed away peacefully at Lowell General Hospital on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Baltimore, MD on September 13, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Robert Wesley Lapham and Mary Louise (Cushman) Lapham.

Abbie was raised in Lutherville, MD. She lived in Marblehead, MA for many years where she raised her sons and cultivated many close friendships. She then moved to Hampton, NH to be close to her grandchildren. She spent her last years living happily with family in Dracut, MA.

Abbie enjoyed a quiet life surrounded by family, friends, dogs, flowers, art, books, and music, always with a glass of ginger ale by her side.

Abbie is survived by her sons Michael Cushman Ruckle (Amy) and David Ahern Ruckle (Arianna) and grandchildren, Eli, Emma and Charlie.

Her Funeral Services and Interment will be held privately.
