Albert S. Ogonowski DDS

Albert S. Ogonowski DDS, age 93, a lifelong resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 2, 2026.

He was born on November 28, 1932, at home on the family farm. Albert attended the last one-room schoolhouse - one teacher, four simultaneous classes, grade one through four, and a cold outhouse. He went to Dracut High School, College of the Holy Cross, and an OKU graduate of Georgetown University Dental School. Over the years, he also completed additional coursework at Tufts and Cornell University.

A proud veteran of the United States Army Dental Core, where he treated military and Alaska National Guard Eskimos in the territory of Alaska, prior to statehood. He also attended the United States Cold Weather and Mountain School at Fort Greely.
He returned to civilian life to practice dentistry for many years before eventually returning to full-time farming—the same land started by his immigrant Polish parents, John and Apolonia, over 100 years ago.

He leaves many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and special ones; Frank, Carol, Kathleen, John, Marjorie, and Patricia.

He was predeceased by his parents John and Apolonia Ogonowski and his sisters and brothers, Mary, Alexander, Stanley, Rose, Frank, Walter, and Helen.

He was a life member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church and attended weekly mass in the Polish language.

He leaves many wonderful lifelong friends and wishes the medical staff of Lahey Hospital for their lifetime of extraordinary care.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 10am at the Holy Trinity Polish Church, 350 High Street, LOWELL. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Polish Cemetery, LOWELL.
