Aline M. McInnis

–

Dracut, MA

Aline M. (Toupin) McInnis, age 91, passed away peacefully in Dracut on Friday, February 16, 2026.

Aline was born in Montreal on January 10, 1935. She was the daughter of Joseph Adolphe and Irene (Desmarais) Toupin. Early in life, Aline lived in Panama with her parents. After her father tragically passed away in an accident in Panama, she lived in Lowell, with her mother and sister.

Aline graduated with high honors from St. Joseph High School. She was formerly married to Hugh P. McInnis Jr., with whom she shared three children. Throughout her working years, Aline was employed as a secretary at Hanscom Air Force Base, Henrick Johnson Insurance Company, and Interstate Container Corporation.

Aline found great joy in the outdoors. She loved fishing and hunting with her longtime partner, Paul Zincavitch. Together, they spent many days deep-sea fishing, proudly bringing home their catch to share with family and friends. They made several trips to Camp Degelis in Canada to fish for trout and traveled to Anticosti Island to hunt white-tailed deer. Each fall, they ventured to the woods of Maine to hunt partridge. Aline was an active member of the Tyngsboro Sportsman’s Club and worked alongside Paul for several years to help keep the club’s pond stocked with trout.

Aline also loved line dancing and spent many joyful Monday evenings dancing with a special group of friends at the Elks on Old Ferry Road.

Above all, Aline cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her family holds many treasured memories of laughter, love, and time shared together.

In recent years, Aline was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and spent her final years close to home, comforted by the care and companionship of Paul.

She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Toupin, who died in 1935 at the age of two; her sister, Irene (Toupin) (Broderick) Gill, who passed in 2012; and her beloved son, Hugh P. McInnis III, who passed in September 2023.

Aline leaves behind her longtime partner, Paul Zincavitch; her daughter, Catherine (McInnis) Hardy and her husband, Normand Hardy, of North Billerica, Massachusetts; and her son, Michael McInnis of Silver Springs, Florida. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Sheehan, and her nephew, James Broderick, and his wife, Carmen.

Aline was the proud grandmother of David Hardy and his wife Sarah; Jonathan Hardy and his wife Abby; Joseph Hardy and his wife Holly; Samuel McInnis and his wife Jessica; Robert McInnis and his fiancé Kate, Michael McInnis Jr. and his wife Dara; and James McInnis and his wife Katy.

She was blessed with many great-grandchildren: Alyssa (Hardy) Kucinski, Alexander Hardy, Julia Catherine (Kiki) Hardy, Noora Hardy, Scott McInnis, Zachary McInnis, Madilyn McInnis, Briana McInnis, Kalin McInnis, Eva McInnis, and Ethan McInnis.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 9:00am to 10:30am at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT. Her Funeral Service and Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, CHELMSFORD.
