Antranig S. Giragosian Obituary (1948 - 2014)

Giragosian, 65, died Tuesday, January 7th, at Lowell General Hospital, surrounded by his family. Antranig was born in Allepo, Syria on November 3, 1948, a son of Miriam (Egidian) Giragosian and the late Stepan Giragosian. Tony was a longtime employee for Hallesy of Lowell, where he worked passionately as a mechanic. Tony was a devoted family man, whose greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid fisherman and looked forward to his summer days on his best friend Sarkis Shamshoyan's boat. Along with his mother Miriam Giragosian of Providence, RI, Tony is survived and will be deeply missed by his son Matthew Giragosian and his wife Ashley, daughter Jennifer Giragosian and grandchildren, Jeremy and Mia, all of Dracut; brothers, Paul Giragosian and his wife Mary Gail of Arlington, MA, John Giragosian and his wife Yvonne of Providence, RI, and Mardiros Giragosian of Providence, RI; sisters, Araxie Assadourian of Fairview, NJ, Epic Kazandjian of Providence, RI, Salpi Wolper of Scottsdale, AZ, Anoush Kayrouz and her husband Jack of Warwick, RI, and Sevan Cappuccilli of Providence, RI; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14 at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut, MA. His Funeral Service will then take place at 1 p.m. also at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Tony's name to St. Vartanantz Armenian Church 180 Old Westford Rd., Chelmsford, MA 01824.
