B. Michael Delaney Obituary (1960 - 2021)

B. Michael Delaney, age 61, of Dracut passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021. Our beloved son, brother, uncle, godfather and friend. He was born in Lowell on September 2, 1960. The son of Mary L. Delaney of Dracut and Brendan M. Delaney and his wife Helen of Hampton, NH. Mike resided in Dracut all of his life. He attended The Greater Lowell Vocational High School where he studied electrical, graduating in 1978. He worked in the construction field with various contractors over the years. Mike was a jack of all trades. A true handy man. Mikes knowledge, generosity and love and sense of humor knew no bounds, he would give you the shirt off his back, he helped everyone who asked or needed, he was always there for all of us. We will forever have Uncle Mike stories. He loved going to car races, and watching them on TV. He also loved reading historical novels. Mike was the best backyard mechanic, loved working on cars, camping and fishing. Mike especially loved spending time with his family and friends. Besides his parents, he is survived by his five sisters. Kathleen Sylvester and her children, Jeffrey, Timothy, Erin, Kelly, and Delaney. Donna Tsoumbanikas and her children Jimmy and Angela, Ellen Cregg, her partner Rick Proulx and her children Michael, Joshua, Kristina, Gail McCarthy and her husband Jim their children Danny, Jenna, and Meghan. Lisa Brouillette and her Husband Dennis and their children Corey, Mason and Mary. He is predeceased be his maternal grandmother Mary Silva Lavoie, his paternal grandparents Catherine and Fredrick Delaney, his nephew Jimmy McCarthy and his great nephew Kayden Agate. Mike also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In the time that Mike was with us, he touched many lives and gave us many lasting memories that we will cherish in our hearts forever. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 16th from 10am to 12 noon at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. A graveside service will follow at Varnum Cemetery, DRACUT.
