Carole Ann Folta

Carole Ann Folta, 75, of Tewksbury passed away on Friday April 16, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Stanley J. and Eleanor (nee Sawicki) Folta.

Carole was born in Lowell on October 8, 1945 and was educated at Saint Stanislaus and attended Academy of Notre Dame for high school, graduating in 1963. Carole attended Rivier University upon graduating high school to receive her Bachelors and Masters degree in biology. Carole then became a Laboratory Supervisor and worked for Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA), Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, as well as IDEXX Laboratories. In her spare time, Carole could be found traveling, walking on the beach and collecting shells, and shopping at her favorite store QVC. She also enjoyed good food and wine and traveling to Disney World to collect pins. Most importantly, Carole will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity.

Carole is survived by her two siblings Donna Schelling and her husband Scott of N. Andover, and Stanley J. Folta Jr. and his wife Christine of Tewksbury, as well as six nieces and nephews, Christopher Folta and his wife Jill of Billerica, Mitchell Folta and his wife Kelly of Lowell, Adam Folta and his wife Kindra of North Carolina, Morgan Folta of Tewksbury, Dr. Kimberly Schelling Blunda and her husband Joseph of Waltham, and Erik Schelling and his significant other Kerstin Seidel of Cambridge. In addition to her nieces and nephews, she is survived by four great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Caroles name to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Make a donation to end childhood cancer - St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, or 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, and the MSPCA MSPCA-Angell - Kindness and Care for Animals, or 350 South Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02130.

Services for Carole will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut.
