Chad G. Lindsay, age 46, of Pelham, NH, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, while surrounded by family and loved ones. He was the loving husband of Catherina Katie (Frechette) Lindsay.
Born in Lowell and raised in Billerica, he was the son of Bruce T. and Beverly A. (Mellen) Lindsay. He graduated in 1992 from Shawsheen Valley Technical High school, and later earned his A&P certification from East Coast Aero Tech of Bedford, MA.
For many years, he was employed as a Facilities Maintenance Crew Chief for American Airlines out of Boston Logan International Airport. Among his many accomplishments, Chad was most proud of the work he did in leading the effort every year for the Bon Voyage events hosted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation for American Airlines WishFlights to Orlando, FL. He designed and built elaborate set pieces and decorations that transformed a typical departure gate into a magical gateway in the theme of the childs wish. Often times Chad would complete the experience by appearing as a character like Mr. Incredible.
Chad also loved to give back to the community. He coached Babe Ruth Baseball, Little League, flag football, and cooked countless team dinners. For years, he served on the board of directors for the Pelham Razorbacks Youth Football and Cheer and his work as concessions director made the Razorbacks snack shack the envy of the state. He devoted additional time to the Friends of Pelham High Football and Pelham High Cheer.
Chad enjoyed spending his free time showing off his culinary expertise cooking for his family, often displaying the James Beard Award quality meals on his Facebook page. On weekends, he was an incredible host, preparing brisket, pulled pork, ribs and so much more using his outdoor kitchens collection of five grills.
In addition, Chad could be found at weekend airsoft tournaments, relaxing on his brothers boat on Lake Winnipesaukee, partaking in a round of Keno or two, or getting away from it all on one of his mini vacations in his hot tub. Above all else though, Chad loved his family and friends. He was a man who put his wife and children above everything else; and he wasnt a man who had acquaintances, he had lifelong friends. Those friends knew they could always count on Chad to help them whenever they asked, and it didnt matter what they needed help with. He was always willing to lend a hand.
There is no word that can describe the aura around Chad that transferred to those around him. This presence was healing and powerful. With Chad on your side, it almost felt like nothing could go wrong, because even if something did, he would know how to fix it right away, whether it was physically, mentally, or spiritually. Chad knew a lot about everything and could troubleshoot and fix everything. There wasnt an obstacle out there large enough to get in Chads way when it came to helping those around him.
Along with his loving wife, he is survived by his two children, Brett C. Lindsay, and Meadow E. Lindsay both of Pelham, NH, his parents, Bruce, and Beverly Lindsay, of Davenport, FL, his brother, Keith P. Lindsay and his wife Suzann of Chelmsford, his mother and father-in-law, Sheila and Robert Sweeney of Dracut, his niece and nephews, Ryan, Shauna, and Evan Lindsay all of Chelmsford, his best friend and faithful companion, his dog Teddy, as well as several other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
