Constance "Connie" Hardy

LOWELL- Constance Connie (Durand) Hardy, 86, of Lowell, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Andre G. Hardy with whom she celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Born in Lowell on August 30, 1937, the daughter of the late Treffle and the late Yvonne (Belleau) Durand. She attended St. Joseph Grammar School and was a graduate of St. Joseph Girls High School, class of 1955.

Upon graduation, she was employed as a legal secretary for 9 years.

She was a parishioner of the former Ste. Jeanne dArc Church and was presently a member of St. Ritas Church.

Prior to her retirement, she was a kindergarten teacher and substitute teacher at Ste. Jeanne dArc School.

She enjoyed music, crossword puzzles, card games, reading magazines, feeding and watching birds in her backyard, but most of all spending time with family and friends.

Surviving her besides her husband, Andre, are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Steven and Mary Beth (Trainor) Hardy of Tyngsboro and Brian Hardy of Dracut; granddaughter, Kelly Crowley and her husband Ryan and grandson, Ryan Hardy, who were the light of her life.

It being her wish, there will be no public visiting hours. Family and friends are invited to gather for her Funeral Service on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 10:30 am at the St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, 96 Riverneck Rd., Chelmsford.
