Edward J. Tandus

Edward J. Tandus, 80, a resident of Pelham, NH, formerly a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret M. (Lantagne) Tandus with whom he shared 45 years of marriage until her passing in 2014.

He was born in Lowell on June 12, 1944, and was the son of the late Joseph and Rochelle (Bellemore) Tandus.

After Ed was honorably discharged from the Navy, he worked to become a Master Electrician who never missed an opportunity to teach others. He ran his own business with his wife by his side for many years before retiring. He loved to capture our family memories via his trusty video camera, as he was the narrator of our lives. He was always ready to take everyone out on a walk in the Town Forest, on a snowmobile ride, or ice skating on the pond. He loved being part of his Forest Park Road community. He spent his summers between Maine and Vermont. He was at his happiest when sitting on the porch of his tiny mountain house with a book, off on a ride on his four-wheeler, or cooling off in the brook creating memories with family and friends. Ed was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, and uncle (even if you were not related-you were). He was a hardworking man, who put everyone before himself.

Edward leaves his children, Carrie Kennedy and her husband Paul of Methuen, Katie Roemer and her husband John of Pelham, and Ted Tandus of Lowell; his grandchildren Meghan and John Roemer; his sister, Mary Thibault-Wolaver of Winchester, TN and countless nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 9 am 11 am at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. His funeral service and interment will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made in his name to Home Health and Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
