It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Heidi Jean Eaton Walczak of Dracut, who passed on Saturday, October 31st, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 66 years young.
Born on February 20. 1960 to Dale Eaton and Carol Marrow Eaton who predeceased her, she lived a life centered on family, kindness, and caring for others. She shared 48 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband Stan, building a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion.
She was a proud and loving mother to her two children, Derek Walczak and his wife Lisa of Ipswich, MA and Amanda Claflin of Saugus, MA and her fiancé Robert Gibson of Melrose, MA. Heidi's children were the center of her world. Her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She was also a devoted grandmother to her three treasured grandchildren, Cole, Deacon and Dhalia, whose lives were enriched by her endless love, encouragement, and warmth.
Early in her career, Heidi owned and operated a floral shop, where her creativity and passion for bringing beauty into people's lives blossomed. Later, she found her true calling as a daycare provider. For many years, she lovingly cared for countless children, treating each one as if they were her own. Her nurturing spirit, patience, and gentle heart left a lasting impact on the families she served and on the many children whose lives she helped shape.
Those who knew Heidi will remember her for her compassionate nature, generous heart, unwavering dedication to her family, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, selflessness, and unconditional love that will continue to live on through those who were fortunate enough to know her.
In addition to her husband, kids and grandchildren, Heidi leaves her sisters Kimberly Leslie and her longtime partner Bob Desmarais of Northbridge, MA, Heather Mandeville and her longtime partner Steve Arprin of Tyngsboro, MA and Crystal and Andrew Hinc of Milbury, and her former son in law Thomas Claflin from Waltham, MA. Along with her immediate family, she leaves many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the memories she gave us and the love she shared so freely. Her spirit will remain with us always.
"A life filled with love leaves a legacy that never fades."
