Hope H. Hyde Obituary (1940 - 2021)

Hope H. (Kofomehalis) Hyde, age 80, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at High Point House in Haverhill with her dear husband, Dan, by her side after battling a long illness. She was born in Lowell on October 29, 1940 and was the daughter of the late William and Anastasia Kofomehalis. Prior to her retirement, Hope worked in the Lowell School System & McDonalds where she formed very close friendships. She was an avid lover of the Boston Red Sox and loved attending the Spinners Games. She was very involved in family and enjoyed going out to dinner and taking road trips. She also held a special fondness in her heart for dogs. Hope is survived by her husband of 62 years, Daniel Hyde, two sons; Eric Hyde and his wife Christine of Lowell, Daniel Hyde and his wife Rebecca of Dracut, two sisters; Niki Kofomehalis and Gale Marwine, her grandchildren Michaela, Alexa and Daniel Hyde and his spouse Barath, Jessica Witts and her fianc Joshua Verville and Patrick Witts. She also leaves behind many close family members including her sister & brother in-laws; Ellen and Leo Lambert, Judith and Robert St. Laurent, Mary Jo and Ted Keough, and Martha and Warren Hookway, a godson; Robert St Laurent Jr., and goddaughter; Katherine Ducharme. Hope also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and her dear friend Audrey Orlando and her family which she was very close with. Hope was predeceased by her sisters; Peggy Andelo, Mary Miller, Debbie McMann, Loretta Baran and her brother in-law Melvin Marwine. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, October 20th from 4pm to 7pm at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. A Funeral Home service will be celebrated on Thursday at 10am at Dracut Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lowell Cemetery, LOWELL.
