James Boyd Brown

James B. Brown, 84, of Dracut, Passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Sunday, August 8, 2021.

He was born on November 9, 1936, the son of the late Boyd and Isabel (Beddingfield) Brown. He was raised and educated in Philadelphia, PA. After his formal education, James enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1953 and was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal in 1956.

After his honorable service to our nation, James, with his wife Pamela, moved and raised a family in Londonderry, NH and owned and operated Fiber Processing in Manchester, NH for many years, prior to moving to Dracut, MA in 1998.

When not at work, James enjoyed gardening; he absolutely loved his flower beds and maintaining only the highest quality of flowers, collecting coins, building furniture in his younger years, playing solitaire, he loved watching most sports, none more than cheering on his beloved Philadelphia Eagles (through hard times and good) but above all else he cherished time spent with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Pamela (Gacek) Brown of Dracut, two daughters, Melissa Brown of Dracut, and Kaitlin Brown of Weare, N.H. James also had three sons, Michael Brown of Lowell, Terry and Jillian Brown of Londonderry, NH., and Ryan and Meghan Brown of Boston, MA. His beloved brother, Robert Brown of The Poconos, P.A. Seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

James was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Grant, who passed away in 2001.

At his request, all funeral services are private and at the convenience of his family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT.
