Lan Vong Obituary (1949 - 2021)

Lan Vong, age 71, a recent resident of Dracut, passed away due to a yearlong battle with cancer on Sunday, March 28, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Lay Nhep with whom he shared 45 years of marriage. He was born on December 1, 1949 in the district of Banan Battambang City Cambodia and was the son of the late Tok Vong and Choum Ram. He worked for the UNHCR Construction and Engineering when taking refuge in Thailand during the early 80's. He enjoyed working on automotive vehicles, listening to Khmer music and politics. He also enjoyed the outdoors and was always keen on chimpanzees. Lan worked in Westwood MA for Romanow Container prior to his health issues which forced him into retirement. He leaves behind his Wife, Lay Nhep of Dracut, his sons Voeut Vong, Vun Vong, Vann Vong Tommy Savong and daughter Savy Vong 13 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation after 2 PM on Sunday at the Glory Buddhist Temple, 24 Cambridge St., Lowell. His funeral procession will leave the Temple on Monday morning, at 8` AM and conclude at Merrimack Crematory, 10 Henry Clay Drive Merrimack, NH.
