Leangheng Chhay

Leangheng Chhay, age 84, a resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully at Lowell General Hospital on Sunday, October 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Keo Chum, with whom she enjoyed 40 years of marriage.

Leangheng was born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on June 9, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Kry Chhay and Sork Yan.

She lived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia nearly her whole life. She always had a dream to be a stay-at-home mother by which she was able to fulfill that dream of hers by having a big family of 9 kids with her husband. She provided a wonderful life to her kids by owning a small food business. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, sewing, going on walks, and heavily valued religion by which she practiced prayer and visited temples often.

Leangheng is survived by Susana Kul, Chip Kul, Julia Kul, Kim Kul, Sengim Kul, Sengan Kul, Sengheang Kul, Sokkeng Kul, Sokpeng Kul, and Dalis Kul.

In addition to her loving husband, Leangheng is predeceased by Piseth Kul.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 4-7pm at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 8:30am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lowell Cemetery, LOWELL.
