Manuel Ambrosio

Manuel Ambrosio, age 89, a resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully at DYouville Life & Wellness Community on Saturday, July 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Gertrude (Silva) Ambrosio with whom he enjoyed 63 years of marriage prior to her passing.

He was born on January 5, 1935 in Graciosa, Portugal and was a son of the late Guilhermino and Maria (Silva) Ambrosio.

Manuel immigrated to the United States in 1970 and settled in Lowell where he raised his family. He was a hardworking man who spent his career working for the Pellon Corporation in Lowell. He enjoyed visiting his country with his wife and spending time taking care of animals.

Manuel is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Camacho and her husband Francisco Camacho of Lowell and her grandson Jason Camacho. He also leaves his in laws, Helder Silva and his wife Niza of Peabody, Cecelia Bettencourt of Portugal, Manuel Silva of Portugal, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service and interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Manchester, NH will be held privately.
