Mary Jane Lemay Obituary (1945 - 2021)

Mary Jane (Sawyer) Lemay, age 75, of Dracut, MA passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2021 with her loving, devoted husband Robert E. Lemay, Jr. by her side. Mary Jane was born on October 27, 1945, to Joseph W. Sawyer II and Ruth E. (Pratt) Sawyer in Hanover, NH. She was married to her beloved husband, Robert E. Lemay Jr., for more than 58 years. They made their home and raised their family in Dracut, MA. Mary Jane worked for Vicor Corp in Andover, MA for many years before retiring. She cherished time spent with her family and many friends in both Cape Canaveral, FL and Old Orchard Beach, ME. She loved to take cruises and especially enjoyed trips to Disney World. Mary Jane will be well remembered for her love of family and friends, kind, generous, easy-going nature, infectious laugh, and amazing smile. Mary Jane is survived by her devoted husband Bob, who was her caretaker through a long battle with Alzheimers Disease. Mary Jane is also survived by her three children and their spouses, Scott and Pam Lemay, Brian and Maria Lemay, and Robin and Stephen Kacavas; her grandchildren, Alyssa Lemay, Cody Kacavas, Emilee and Jared Norkewicz, Kaylee Kacavas, Christopher Lemay, Nicholas Kacavas; great-grandson, Sawyer Norkiewicz; her sister Ruth Ann Diette; her mother-in-law Rita Lemay; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Christina Lemay, Carol and Eugene Saucier, Cate Ayotte, and Maurice Lemay; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Mary Jane was predeceased by her parents, father-in-law, Robert E. Lemay Sr., brother, Joseph W. Sawyer III, and grandson, Scott A. Lemay. Visiting hours will be held Friday, August 20, 2021 from 9:00 - 11:30 am at Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. Following the visitation, burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery.
