Normand H. Allard Obituary (1945 - 2024)

Normand H. Allard, age 79, a resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully at Lowell General Hospital on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Leona L. (Proulx) Allard. He was born in Lowell on November 25, 1945, and was the son of the late Clarence and Florence (Masson) Allard. Normand was raised, educated and worked on Lakeview Ave. in Dracut. He met his future wife while ice skating on Beaver Brook. After serving time with the Army, where he was stationed in Germany, he married and made his home in that same neighborhood. Normand worked as a foreman for Dracut Tire for over 40 years. His enjoyment was working in his vegetable garden, playing cards, cooking like his mom (no recipe needed) and above all, spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Leona, his children; Jeffrey Allard and his wife Holly of Dracut, Bridgette Lamontagne and her husband Edward of Lowell, his beloved grandchildren; Samuel, Anna, Eden, Grace, Monica, Leah, Nadine, Jeffrey, Jacob, Jayson and Kelsey, his great grandson Wilder Hussey, his siblings; Dorothy Matthews, Frank Allard and his wife Gayle; and sister-in-law, Nancy. He also leaves 9 nieces and 13 nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers; Roger, Ronald, Richard and his brother-in-law; Paul. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 9am to 11am at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. Following his visitation, a graveside service will take place at St. Josephs Cemetery, CHELMSFORD.
