Patricia R. Rodziewicz

Patricia R. (Basnett) Rodziewicz, age 89, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 24, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley F. Rodziewicz, Sr. with whom she enjoyed 60 years of marriage until his passing in 2011.

She was born in Lowell on May 19, 1932 and was the daughter of the late William and Rose (Kennedy) Basnett.

Patricia had fond memories of time spent at Boynton Beach in Florida with family and friends, especially her dear friends, Gerry, AnnMarie, and Sharon. She loved dancing at the Polish-American Veterans Club and sailing with her son and his friends in Boston Harbor. She was exceptionally proud of her grandson Jackson. An active member of her community, she belonged to The American Legion of Pelham, The Polish-American Veterans of Lowell and Altrusa International of Merrimack Valley.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Brenda Hawkins and her husband Jonathan of Jamestown, RI; her son, Stanley Rodziewicz, Jr. and his girlfriend Gwen Leduc of Dracut; her grandchildren, Jackson, Isaiah, Zyrus, and Amelia; her siblings, Carol Poulin of Nashua, NH, and Edward "Little Joe" Basnett and his wife Linda of Dracut; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she is predeceased by her brother William Basnett, Jr., and her sisters, Virginia Lahiff and Marjorie Parkhurst.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, February 2nd from 4pm to 7pm at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 115 Wheeler Rd., DRACUT. Interment will be held in the spring in Varnum Cemetery, DRACUT.
