Ra Thi Mai Obituary (1951 - 2021)

Ra Thi Mai, age 69, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away at Tufts Medical Center in Boston on Monday, December 20, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles P. Nutter. She was born in Kien Giang, Vietnam on December 31, 1951 and was the daughter of the late Soi Mai and Sang Thi Nguyen. Ra was a fantastic cook, an expert in Asian and Vietnamese cuisine. She also amazed her family with her sewing skills, she would create beautiful clothing that would highlight her unique style. Ra enjoyed going out shopping, socializing with friends and watching YouTube videos. Above all, spending time with her family brought her the most happiness. Survived by her 2 children, Nguyet Mai and Jack Mai, 6 granddaughters, Hong Nguyen, Hien Tran, Wendy Mai, Randy Duong, Jaclyn Mai, and Jocelyn Mai, 1 great-grandson Greyson Somsy. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 29th from 5pm to 9pm at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30am at St. Mary Magdalen Parish, 95 Lakeview Ave., TYNGSBORO. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, CHELMSFORD.
