Walter "Wally" A. Kaszuk Jr. Obituary (1941 - 2023)

Walter Wally A. Kaszuk Jr., 81, a current resident of Dracut and formerly of Lowell and Westford, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday March 30, 2023. He was the loving husband of M. Denise (ONeill) Kaszuk. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 23, 1941 and was a son of the late Walter A. Sr. and Josephine (Jaskernia) Kaszuk. Wally proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church and Saint Stanislaus in Lowell. Prior to his early retirement due to Lyme disease, Wally worked for Murray ing as a Master er for over 20 years. He was an avid Boston sports fan and loved rooting for Tom Brady and the Patriots, but throughout his life remained dedicated to his original hometown teams, the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears, too. He loved time at the water, both lakes and beaches and would often visit Hampton Beach and Nabnasset Lake. He loved watching his son and grandsons play sports as well. He never missed one of Mikes football or basketball games and would frequent many of his practices, too. Wally enjoyed trying his luck at the casinos and playing cards. He was always up for a game of 45s or Texas Holdem. He also loved fishing and spending his time using his talents on construction projects and rehabbing homes. Most important to Wally was his family. He enjoyed family and friend gatherings during the holidays and time spent with his children and his grandchildren. In addition to his loving wife, Wally is survived by his beloved children, Christine Andrade and her partner Nathan Holman of Mashpee, and Michael Kaszuk and his wife Ann of Windham; his cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Kyle Andrade, and Colin Kaszuk; his in-laws, Dan ONeill and his wife Susan of Londonderry, NH; a dear friend, Ann Adamek; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Theresa Kaszuk, and brother in-law of the late Robert ONeill. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 4th from 4-7 pm at the Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 oclock at the Immaculate Conception Church, 144 East Merrimack St., Lowell. Interment with military honors will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Wallys name may be made to the American Heart Association at heart.org.
